Nice grain on the wood! I would think with the straight square legs that it is a simple country-style dresser. Don't paint it. Check for a name or a label on it. I like it!

First of all, GREAT FIND! ( frankly, I'm jealous!). Hold onto it and I wouldn't sell that wonderful painting unless I was at the right art gallery or I had someone who would die to have it. Auctions lately that I have been to (and I want to attend m…

I have had good luck and bad luck selling in bulk. People want everything so cheap now, it's frustrating, even when you offer them 30-40 items together.

I looked up a couple more of them ( easy to find online) I'm not sure how valuable they might be but they look like something that would be fun to collect. Buy a few more while the price is down and hold on to them( that's what I would do) I have a…

Dear Liz, The picture of the Kentucky map was in reference to the Kentucky Needed comment by Jerry Sampson. If I wanted to sell the map I would have said so. I was responding to a comment made. If you scroll down a bit you'll notice that I make ref…

I am very unwowed ( is that a word?) by them. But, just like my appreciation for folk art needed some time, I guess this will have to wait for me to be un-unwowed and develop a liking to them. They remind me of paintings on mirrors for some reason.

Things always sell easier if you have two or three in a series. Good luck with them, he had a good style.

Very nice Majolica!

My five year old would say this one is yucky! I have been tooling around with an idea to paint some Victorian manufactured chairs and sideboards bright, BRIGHT colors if I find the right candidates and this ,..might qualify, if you have a hard time…

Hunting pictures are always so nice, and engravings are even better. This is a keeper!

I had a link that I saved and I couldn't find it, but I remembered it was on You Tube and here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pb42szDMw78 Hope this helps you. I was trying to place a value on a piece of Flow Blue a couple months back for a…

A few minutes away from working....

Ahhhh, that's a better picture of me. And a typical thing I do each week, get a few minutes to have a laugh and share the comics with my daughters( Samantha and Sophia ). They get the comics first and I get them when they're done.

I work for a woman who does estate sales, and my job is listing the more difficult to sell ( because of the style, or rarity, alot of people wouldn't know an expensive piece of glass, they just know "the price is way too high for me").
I try and find the right market,… Continue

Hi M, I got to take a look. I have never seen a depression glass piece in this shape or style. Can you tell me if it is blown (pontil mark on base)? Also what color is this? Orange, red or what? It is certainly not anything by Hocking, and I don't think it is US made at all. More likely Czech/Bohemia. It could be Moser, but those usually have a lot of enameling to them. It could also be Italian - Murano or similar. Any markings of any kind? Let me know, Very nice piece!

Thanks for the comments. The stereo cards I am looking for are for goderich Ontario canada. In particular they were by two photographers E.L.Johnson and later R.R.Sallows they are very very rare and your not likely to run into them. I have approx.26 items now but would sure like to find others.Thanks. If you get time I would like to see the mini ducks . Thanks again
