Reference your ebay shipping question.
I see no way but to either increase my prices or decrease my "make offer" discounts to provide "free" shipping. I too have some large items (stained glass windows) with hefty shipping fees. But you're right--it's a math game. It's actually discouraging me from selling on ebay unless its a high profit item to begin with... because all I can do is increase my prices or eat the loss of profit. Your idea about a statement regarding shipping is not bad, but could also be taken the wrong way.
