"Following Sherry Miller's line of thought... in my area these chairs, at auction, would struggle to get $50 each. $40 would be a good auction estimate locally. Auction price x 3 would be a good retail price locally. Where you are selling is…"

About Me
Born in Elizabeth, NJ. Grew up in Metuchen, NJ.
Became interested in Antiques when I learned that my Great-Great Grandfather was a wooden ship builder on Staten Island, NY and most of his hand tools were still in a chest my grandfather had. In time the tools became mine and I set off on a quest to learn all I could about old tools, and their uses, and find replacements for the tools that were missing from the chest. I was about 14 years old when the tools came into my possession and I've been around Antiques (both buying & selling) ever since.
I now reside in Eastern Pennsylvania with my wife, 2 cats, and more ducks than you can shake a stick at.

In the past 5 years, or so, I've seen hundreds of insulators go "no sale" at auctions and thrown into dumpsters without hesitation. This was a shame, I thought... I always liked insulators, I had a few that came… Continue
