"that is the patent on what ever that is marked is I think a  corner a tall trunk looks like it would have been made some time after that date"

Old Trunk 1867 ? still with owners name on it

So, Whats its worth?It is rough but the only thing I did to it was put rust gaurd on the metal parts to stop the rusting..I thing it says 1867 0r 1887. Canvas on wood.See More

Homeschool mom . I raised and train miniature horses. I've had two brain tumors removed in 2010 and 2011. I had cushings and am on the mend.
Tell us about your interest in antiques, collecting and any antique related websites, blogs, businesses.
My parents collected for years and I aquired the love of antiques. My dad and mom went everywhere looking for antiques. I loved when they took me as a kid. We also had metal detectors. Dad sold them as a hobby. Dad died in 2008 and mom had dementia. It is lonely without them.
