I can't seem to enter code for my eCrater store widget!

Morning all...I just listed a beautiful Lefton water pitcher and a stunning Homer Laughlin (I think the pattern is Eggshell, if you know for sure please advise) turkey platter: Visit me online at Heart of Virginia Antiques & Collectibles!

Congratulations on getting into your mall! If it's anything like the two I'm in (may I mention the names here or is that more appropriate for another forum?), you will have a LOT of fun! Now if I understand you correctly, you are renting a case? We…

Test: I googled "Ecclectiques" (your spelling) and got 3,800 hits. I googled "Eclectiques" (more correct spelling) and got 248,000 hits. Seems like it's obvious, but as Dianne suggested, you might start a google blog with ecclectiques and get that…

You most certainly are NOT rude--that is probably exactly the problem. I tried to get cute and unique with the name and it apparently is backfiring. I doubt PrestoStores can change the name now though I'd have to buy a new domain name and then sign…

I wonder if it could be because people can't pronounce the name. And so they shy away from it. It is a cute name, but eclectics isn't spelled that way (You have ecc-; it's 1 c) and therefore most search engines won't find it. I know it's rude for me…

Diane thanks, I'll try that--but I just don't understand the traffice difference, I don't have to do a blog with my ecrater store. I guess it's just one of those things! Or eCrater has some kind of affiliation with Google that gets its stores better…

Heart of Virginia? Do you have a blog? Perhaps you can start a blog on Blogger.com (owned by Google) and tie blog articles into the inventory you carry in your Presto Store. You will see that google will give you better attention if you blog with th…

My main store, Heart of Virginia Antiques & Collectibles, gets about 40 visitors a day while my other store, Ecclectiques, gets 5 a day. Google Base is working for store #2, albeit very slowly. I have the same types of items in store #2 as store #1,…

We had a mall close its doors, not paying the landlord is the biggest reason for malls being shut down.. Before I chose the mall I am in I asked questions.. Do you own the building or lease? What kind of lease do you have? How long have you been in…

I say AMEN to all of you! Congrats on the new selling arena!

Thanks, guys. This place was perfect, the rent was cheap, no commission, and the store was located less than a mile from my office. AND to top it off, July was the best month I've had EVER. Wouldn't ya' just know it? :) Good think I reckon is that…

Basically I agree with Joe. It's almost like losing your job. Yeah, it's not easy but try to shake it off and find something better. Your car breaks down beyond repair... well, maybe the next one will last longer. No, it's not easy and never gets ea…

About Me
I love buying, selling and trading all kinds of antiques & collectibles! I've had this 'sickness' for about 10 years now, going on 11 with no end in sight...I started with antique pottery and china (I really liked the Watt and McCoy lines) but then I branched out into glassware, vintage cookbooks, furniture, home decor, vintage estate jewelry, sports memorabilia, and more. I've tried just about every online selling venue possible, but I think I've settled on eCrater--I returned there out of necessity (fees at eBay and other places just became too much!), and I've been pleasantly surprised this time around! I also have two 'in-person' booths, one at Old Friends Antiques (visit us online at oldfriendsstore.com) in Ashland, VA, and the other in Mechanicsville, VA, at the Cold Harbor Antique Mall. I hope to get to meet at least some of y'all in person or online soon!

I have the candle holders mint in box. no cream and sugars right now, I'm looking for some. I have a cookie jar that was once broken in half. you really can't tell if your displaying it.
