"I think it looks like a Swiss or German village and the name looks like Klaus. Understand that an artist can paint what he/she imagines and accuracy doesn't matter.  In other words the village scene could be imaginary and non-existent.…"

"Just taking a wild guess at the signature - looks a little like Keane.  Checking askart.com, there are quite a few with that last name.  The last word of the title could be Road, but not sure what the first word is? Orig.?   "

I found this old lithograph in a desk.  It is in very good condition and it is signed very faintly.  I would love to know more about it-namely if someone could pinpoint the location and/or the artist.  All information is greatly appreciated.See More

"It's Mexican jade which is less valuable than Chinese jade. Your necklace is worth about $15-30. USD. It is not old or tribal. Beads are tumbled and drilled. Pendant is probably machine sawed, carved and polished."

"If it's not Jade and it's definitely a stone it could be aventurine?"

"Thanks for the tip Judy - it's definitely not Bakelite.  It is some type of stone that resembles jade."

"Any possibility it could be bakelite? Spray some 409 cleaner on a q-tip and rub it on the piece and see if it turns yellow -- that's one indicator."
