"Japanese writing is read right to left; top to bottom. On the object with the parrot the 2 characters on the right side read Made in and Nippon (Japan). "Made in" looks like an upside down Y with a cross, and "Nippon"…"

(a) That the drawings on the inside are simialr to 18th or 19th century drawings . I do not see a simialr style in later drawings.
