"Might it have been constructed in that fashion in order to increase its stability?  Perhaps the person who made it had made a simple rectangular one before that kept falling over with the brooms, etc in it. - just a "wild" guess."

NO TOOLBAR ON MY LISTING OR ANY PAGE

Good morning. I know when you list your suppose to use pictures not links but To do that the simplest way is to click the rectangle in the toolbar, but I can't because no toolbar shows up. I have inquired and I did get 1 response saying this happens and moderator is aware but no solution. Can anyone out there help me find my toolbar. Using an iPad Pro so no problem with equipment. Old Stain Glass Light Shade

Obtained this from an estate but know little about it . In my opinion probably 1930-40s but not sure . You can contact me via my email to ask further questions if you have any interest . Asking $275. "Prior to 1945 Taiwan was called Formosa and had been since 1624 through various regimes, Portugal, Spain, China, Japan, Republic of China, Taiwan (1945).  Therefore you can assume your pot belly was made sometime after 1945."
