""Stickered on" sounds like it's probably a "decal". Very thin plastic or cellulose image when wetted slides off backing paper onto item. It is then shellacked or covered with glaze and refired. Or could be hand painted.…"

I am curious about the number mark on this black pitcher.

Hi Again , New at all this, I am wondering does the number mark have any significance because it is # 1 on top?    I found a few of these that looked to be the same on E-bay and they were called Euturia.  But this one is not marked except for the # mark 1/7980 .   The pitcher is cracked, but  i love the scene just the same.  2nd Question, Their must be a name for how the scenes were applied.   The item is a bisque background and these scenes look like they were sticker-ed on??  Just trying to…See More
