I was born to treasure hunt... Having come by the love of all things old honestly. My maternal grandmother had many, many lovely things, mostly handed down from mother to daughter. On the other side, my paternal grandmother owned a little antique shop on a rural highway in Southeast Missouri. I buy antiques and collectibles wherever I can and sell in my Antique Mall shop as well as on Ebay. I have been in the biz since the late 1970's and still get excited about finding "treasure in the trash". I also sell some of my collectibles and nifty-crafty wares over at Etsy.com. It's the coolest site I know for handmades!
Along the line Jim and I have taught adult ed classes on "How to Sell on Ebay" and "Finding Treasures in your Attic".
I am also a published writer having co-written several books about flea markets and antique malls with my hubby and co-published & edited the FAIR TIMES newspaper, a trade publication for Vendors, for many years!
If you love antique shows, flea markets and all kinds of special events stop by our website - www.goodridgeguides.com aka National Calendar of Events (NCE) and see what we are about. All info all the time! And it's free!

Thank you FM Maven, I added the following description to the picture.
I need to get busy with my others too.
This outstanding antique green opalescent ruffled bowl was made by the Jefferson glass company. Jefferson opalescent glass was only made from 1900-1906 and was located in Steubenville, Ohio, the county seat of Jefferson County. (Jefferson county = Jefferson glass.) The company moved to Follansbee, West Virginia in 1907. Here they specialized in producing non-opalescent crystal. They closed their doors in 1933.
This bowl is listed as scarce.
Hi FMM! I was a bit surprised to see that your site was already in my Favorites. I had Googled finding a flea market at one point and found you. I really appreciate the work you've done with that. Anyway nice to see you here!
Hi there: Yes I sell on Etsy too. Just since February of last year and it has been a slow process. I have been selling on ebay since 2002, but don't have anything listed at the moment as most of my customers were from the US and since their economy took a nose dive sales have been sparse. We will keep in touch and it has been nice chatting with you. Regards - Sandi
