I live in Belgium where I work in architectural antiques however I studied in the hotel management school of Namur/ Belgium. I like the ancient culinary books and items but the nicest discovery that I made these are 2 tryptiques of "Jean Dratz" signed 1938 which were, before WWII, in the most famous restaurant of Brussels "La Rôtisserie Ardennaise" and in 1944 this restaurant became the GI Club "La Rôtisserie Ardennes" on Boulevard Adolph Max in Brussels, a designated leave center for the many battle-weary service men waiting for re-assignment or news of returning home. These are nice historical painting, I am very proud of it. I forgot, it is Jean McNabb-Rothlin which was Director the GI Club in 1944....In 2002, the city of St Helena in San Fransisco established him a memorial.... (See my photographs.)
