"Very Cute! I love these old things! It looks to be from the 30's or 40's era. Probably Mahogany wood. If you goggle "Vintage Mahogany Sewing Bench Box" you might find some similar one's to see what they are selling for."

"Hi Elizabeth, Syroco was made as wood byproduct, using pulp wood, glue and resin for their formula. So, they are not really "wood" per se. Also, most of the originals would have been put out in a wood tone, or in a gold, gilded…"

1968 Syroco 9 Arm Wall Sconce

Not really sure this is art deco...perhaps more "gothic" but just picked this up at a yeard sale and can't find it anywhere online...actually I found the identical one on Ebay...but when I went to the site it wasn't there...it is made by Syroco and the back reads "Copyright MCMLXVII Syroco Made in USA 4025"  It measures 44" across and 30" high...it's big :)  Does anyone know the value of this?  Any information would be greatly appreciated!!!  It has 9 arms for candles also...…See More

A very big welcome to our terrific site, we hope that you get involved in many of our groups, and post some photos of your collection(s) etc with the information on yourself already on your page. When you get comfortable here please would you add an avatar picture and feel free to customize your profile page, to make it more you (easy templates provided)

Then you can start exploring the site and join as many groups as you like, let us know your interests and we can point you in the right direction as to which groups to join, if you only want specific topics. Invite some friends from the group, this is very easy and we have such a great group of people, write an article or make an announcement on our  http://iantiqueonline.ning.com/forum  (found on the main page) or post in any of the specialty group forums. Be sure to visit  Whadja Find  (tell others what you found remember to read how to post the photo’s correctly not links and add a detailed description to enable the others to give help easier).
