"Date appears to be 1934. What is the size please?  Just a guess, but it does seem to be some kind of Travel or Train case. The question is for what? It does not look like the one's I've seen for cosmetics, but I can't be sure…"

Antique Train Case?

I found this pretty awesome little case at a thrift store. As I was examining it, I found a note on the inside that reads:Given toPhyllis ____?____1(7 or 9?)34 Dec. 25____?____Merry Christmas•  Do you think this is from the 1700s or 1900s? I think it looks like a 7 but I can't imagine it's that old, so I am guessing 1900s. At first, I thought the travel stickers were reproductions but after some examination, they look to be authentic. The paper is yellowed and brittle. •  Can anyone make out…See More

"I have two antique wood folding chairs with same design as yours. Mine were made in Germany in the late 1800s. I would guess that whoever made yours copied the design of mine, not that it matters. I've never valued mine as I enjoy using them. I…"

"I don't think it will make much difference. But it looks like the seat has been replaced; if so that could def hurt value."

Folding Chair Value?

I purchased this folding chair at an estate sale. It is marked:MADE BYMICHIGAN YOUTHOF THENATIONAL YOUTH ADMINISTRATIONAfter some research I found that The National Youth Administration was a New Deal agency in the United States that focused on providing work and education for Americans between the ages of 16 and 25. It operated from 1935 to 1943. I can't find ANY comparables online for value. I've found other folding chairs that were made in this era that seem to be listed from $50-$100, but…See More

Any Ideas About This Doll Head?

I buy and sell things online as a hobby. I just basically buy what I think is unique and cool at estate sales. I purchased this little doll head for a couple dollars yesterday. It is about 4-1/2" tall. There are no markings. It has a rough matte finish, is it bisque? I'm not sure if it's from a mold or hand sculpted? I always try to find something comparable to go off of when I list items, but I am stumped. Any ideas how old it is, ballpark pricing, what is it made out of, keywords I should…See More
