Damaged Goods Do Good - Movie Photos with damaged backs fetch slight premium ... Why?

I recently bought a collection of R95 8x10 linen-textured premium photos from a gentleman who contacted me by phone--the pics were slid into corner mounts inside an old album, a pretty hefty scrapbook with every page filled with treasures.

Cowboy Collectibles

Collecting cowboys is another sub-niche of Movie Collectibles. You know how you have your collectors who only stockpile Marilyn Monroe items? The same is often true for cowboy collectors. I have one regular customer who buys any movie card I post if the star is shown with a cowboy hat on--whether they're traditionally thought of as a cowboy star or not.

Types of Collectibles - Mine Are Movie Collectibles, What Are Yours?

My last blog post I asked if you had any stray movie collectibles seeping over into what you more passionately collect. This time around I'll try to spin that from reverse. In other words, here are some of the types of movie collectibles I buy and sell ... do you collect any of these items in a more general, or even a more specific but different, way?

Trading and Tobacco Cards - Probably over half of my stock consists of trading and tobacco cards from film star sets issued between… Continue

Movie Collectibles vs. Movie Memorabilia

Hi, I'm new to group and on my way in the door, Dianne convinced me to start a group centered around my main passion, movie collectibles. Well, I've got that set up and await Dianne's announcement of it tomorrow, but in the process we had an interesting discussion which made me think I should begin the group's content with a quick clarification.

We decided to call it "Movie Cards, Collectibles and Memorabilia,"… Continue

Cliff, I didn't announce your group yet because I waiting for an answer from you on my question about whether you would consider modifying the ttitle of your group to Movie Memorabila to broaden its search word capacity and members? As soon as I hear from you I can announce your group. If you prefer to leave it as it is..just let me know, the decision is yours. You would have to edit your group becaue I cant do that..its your group. Dianne
