"Claire, I'm not sure why you say the fuel container is missing. It seems to be the silver round thing under the light bulb. It even appears to have the screw-in cap for filling with kerosene. The only things I see missing are the chimney and…"

"@Diane and Ed's: I'm not sure what you mean by founts but nothing I have on this lamp is glass except the light bulb. It seems to be brass and a natural finish iron. Nothing has even really been wired. There is an independent light bulb…"

"Very, very nice! I believe this is called a piano lamp. Check Google images under "antique piano lamp" and you will see them. The height may be adjustable."

"That is a beautiful, stunning outstanding lamp.  A ball shade and tall chimney is all it needs.  Are the two founts glass?  If so have they been wired to illuminate? Nice Lamp!  Very uncommon.  Re-selling awkward to ship…"

"Please re-post the other pictures. It looks like a very nice example, probably made close to the last patent date, late 1880s or 1890s. What looks like brass might be gilding; if so, be very careful with cleaning it--no abrasives!"

Help me identify this unusual lamp

Hello all! I'm new to this group and relatively new to antiquing so please bare with me(:Yesterday I aquired this beautiful, seemingly turn-of-the-century lamp. There are a few markings on it including a small insignia at the top rim of the largest iron globe that simply says "The B&H". I have come to understand that this means it was manufactured by the Bradley and Hubbard company. It also has three patent dates around the ring below the iron globe that allows the hight of the lamp to be…See More

About Me
I'm just a girl who loves antiques. My collection is mostly for my own practical purposes. I love to breathe new life into forgotten items without destroying them in the process. Since moving to Florida from Tennessee, I've had to part with many of my treasures, but it has only fueled the fire that is my desire to collect things that others deem worthless.
Tell us about your interest in antiques, collecting and any antique related websites, blogs, businesses.
I have an account on Etsy, but other than that I haven't found any other Internet based outlets for my interests. I subscribe to local auction and estate sale groups on Facebook, but thrift and antique stores as well as abandoned buildings are where I generally get my antiques.
I have read and understand the Terms of Use and disclaimer section of the iantiqueonline.com website and agree to abide by these terms. Answer yes below.
