"Thanks Vicki, the first link was the first one I looked at to see if it was genuine. Everything matched down to the glued on hinge and the logo on the back under the hinge. All I got today was a small silver plate with no makers mark for $5.00 :("

Incolay Jewelry Box

My wife found this Incolay Jewelry box today on one of our antique shopping trips. It appears genuine, it has all the correct features according to a Google search I did.  The photos don't quite do it justice as I had to photograph it using a desk lamp for light since the flash on my camera washed it out. The size is 5" L x 4 1/4" W x 1 1/4" deep. This is the top…See More

"Too much flash and a black background...can't tell what color it is.  Never seen black. Could be Persian (Iran today). The bottom of the ewer (not a decanter) looks distorted, almost like there is something leaning against it--explain."

Decanters and glasses

Here's something I've had for about 3yrs now that I've never been able to get an ID on. When I bought it the story was that it was dropped off at the store by a man who'd been in the military and had gotten it in Persia. I tend to have my doubts about that though. There are four cordials with this oneHere's the bottom of the…See More

"What a Beautiful set, unfortunately I really do not know much about them, but you may try searching for a "claret Jug" or "Ewer" instead of a decanter and you may have better luck. I am guessing it is french. "

Decanter with cordial glasses

I've got quite a few pieces that I'll be posting here that I've never been able to get identified.  Most of these I've had for several years but have pretty much given up on any ID.  This first piece is a decanter with six cordial glasses. I'll post as many photos as I can especially to show what is wrapped around the center.…See More
