Oh, Barb, what a surprise to meet you again! You're still hanging in there with About.com, I see. Are we glad to have your expertise here on IAO!

Barb, I can understand that fully. After researching some 197 pages of cookie jars (did not get all of them) on eBay, I did not see even one Mootown Cookie jar? That tells me the rarity of this piece and possibly could bring a higher price? I will let you know when it post so you can watch it? Too, bad your friend had the troubles with broken items. I am fully aware of how that could happen. I have been employed by Fedex going on my 28th year. That isn't to indicate Fedex is "breaking" all fragile items? Only that I know it happens in any shipping with any carrier. With that said and knowing how ALL carriers "handle" packages I wrote a review on eBay giving details on how to pack your items. Please read and pass the link along to others. "Box-it-right-ship-it-mean"

Barb C. Based on the suggested value of the Mootown cookie jar, what would be a good starting price for eBay auction? Or Buy it Now price? That has always been difficult to figure out? Of course I might be better off putting this item in the antique mall with a set price tag? The other option was to hold on to it, in hopes that the market will turn??? Then again maybe a collector is willing to give the value? Any ideas on this? James T. Brookins

Barb C. I'm thankful for your advise with the suggested values on my cookie jars. I felt certain about the Bull and it being California. The Mootown Snackers almost stayed on the thrift store shelf? But, from what I learned it was a wise investment. I do have more jars and will post them later tonight. Thank-you very much James TB IOffer.com/selling/Stirred2generosity
