- I absolutely love antique jewelry! I love learning more about it from others who love it as well. I'm a beginner collector but I am constantly fascinated!
I would love to know more on some of the pieces I have, so if you know something please let me know!
Right now I mostly collect lockets and cameos. I also love Victorian and Art Nouveau pieces in general. I particularly love the lockets and cameos because they are so cherished, mysterious, and have a very romantic quality about them. And I always wonder who must have worn them!
I am very new to this site so I apologize in advance if I am doing something incorrect! Let me know if I can fix anything. Thanks!

The only reason I know about the backing is from having them out of their frames at one time or another, But i can not be possitive this is the case for your cameo.

The locket is spectacular! I will go thru the boxes and try to find the right one, maybe we can come up with an insert from another box to fit, I did not try to collect boxes, it just sort of ened up that way, they are almost as intriging as the jewels..Although some of my favorites are ring boxes. And you never Know when you may need one,
I will be back in a few days with hopefully the right one

I'm sure you already know this, but Amazon sells second hand books at reasonable prices. Also, try Alibris.com for second hand. Some of my greatest books have come by that route!
