My Grandfather handled Toastmaster's account in the 30s and this was made by Wendell August Forge for them. The toaster still works! This was a gift her recieved for the work he did.

Hello Beth. I am the editor of the Toaster Collectors Association newsletter and I love to know more about your father's story. Although we know that Toastmaster commissioned this set from Wendell-August, no one has ever seen an advertisement offering to sell this set to the public. Your brief account lends itself to my suspicion that this set was a give-away to businesses and people who helped sell Toastmaster products. We know they did this in 1976 with their 50th anniversary toaster. The chassis of this toaster is from 1936 which was their 10th anniversary and so I believe this set was a reward for service to the corporation.
