This outstanding antique green opalescent ruffled bowl was made by the Jefferson glass company. Jefferson opalescent glass was only made from 1900-1906 and was located in Steubenville, Ohio, the county seat of Jefferson County. (Jefferson county = Jefferson glass.) The company moved to Follansbee, West Virginia in 1907. Here they specialized in producing non-opalescent crystal. They closed their doors in 1933. This bowl is listed as scarce.
