his might have been used in a brewery to taste beer as it was brewing. No idea on the value, but it could be worth a bundle. Some old steins sell for $30,000 and up.

Was looking for some wood bowls and found an old barrel-styled butter churn that looks just like your beer stein without handles...states it is 19.5 inches tall. Looks close.
nothing in searches either) of what I think is the manufacturer. I do know from the previous owners at the gs that Bucuresti is Bucharest (Hungary). The stein is carved and (I think) painted, the main character is a lady with a water jug.
It doesn't look to be used as a beer stein - I think only for decoration.
Does anyone know when this is from, or have any info, or can point me in some sort of direction?
