Mark - Please make a post in the 'whad ja find" group. There seems to be trouble with people posting here on the wall instead. Not sure if this is a techy problem or what? Anyone know?

And - On your pin/broach - I'll leave you a link to find the maker. The gold on your piece is likely "Vermeil" - aka - 14K over 925 sterling. Or whatever your silver content is. 925 is standard, but old European pieces have many different amounts in their pieces. Also - The fact that your butterfly "moves" gives it a special category - it is a "Tingler" or I may have the spelling wrong - may be the french spelling for tingle or similar. In other words, moving parts or mechanical broach. This makes it more desirable and usually more expensive! :) Here is the link for silver makers marks: https://www.925-1000.com/

Hi peeps,

Can anyone provide any info on the following butterfly brooch?

There are hallmarks on the underside of the butterflies wings.

a) A 6 pointed star, and right next to it, an 8 spoked cart/waggon wheel.

b) The numbers 935, which I believe is the silver content, and originating from Germany, Austria or Switzerland.

The 6 pointed star & 8 spoke cart/waggon wheel may suggest the country and manufacturer, but I am unsure which is which.

Brooch pin made of gold, butterfly made of silver, turquoise, amethyst and paste, and the butterfly rotates on the pin.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

I see TOLSON?

You have not provided much information and we do not know the media, the size, etc.  Try reading the instructions above and post more angles and information so we can possibly help you!  :)

Found a print on cardboard of a woman holding a string of pearls. Signed by Nelson and framed. I am wondering if it is an original, has any value and how old

it is. Thanks!

I think I can speak for a few of us who are getting a bit frustrated by the fact that you continue to list items with out-of-focus pictures and NO identifying information at all, and yet request our feedback on "AGE AND/OR VALUE"?

Personally, I tried, once again, to accommodate you on your last surge of activity.  But this time, I am just truly wondering what you are thinking.

You do not appear to be listening to the plethora of advice of others and rarely do you thank anyone for providing you with information...IN SPITE of your repeated lack of assistance in providing information to them for them to help.

Please start to contribute more to this forum in the future so we can ALL LEARN about the VALUE and AGE, and share ANY IDEAS on the many items brought forth by the almost 1800 members of our group.

Please refer to the instructions above for additional guidance.  This is designed to be fun...but we need you to be a part of the team.

Mary Pallay, you are in the Comments Wall.  If you need info about your GM clock ask the questions. We can't read your mind.

Also, scroll up to the heavy blue line.  Just above it in blue it reads: + Add a Discussion. That is where you should post it.

Is this something you wanted additional information on?  Or, are you posting it here in an attempt to sell it?
