Judy i agree i also work, but this is my passion and the more i know the worse i get, then i want to lean even more - bought some items that i will learn to restore, but there must come a time i will sell - have decided to train my staff and myself to restore so when its quiet with or normal work we can do other things, perhaps even as a business when we get going properly

have  a great weekend kath

I am learning, too -- and trying to make some extra cash at the same time. But the money aspect is what brought me in this direction where I find so many things and people that I am interested in/admire/want to learn about! I started looking around for things to do in case my company did not make it -- or in case I was found to be a person paid too much after being there many years, who could be replaced. (sigh) I have, though, found a new community of friends! Life is such a journey!

For now i just collect and learn, its fun and becomes addictive - when i know enough one day i will start selling my least favourite items first (i have a range of things) but i love kitties, the one has a rather sad face though !!

Kathy, those are really cute cats.  Yes, such a shame others were chipped.

Lillian, yes you sure do have the same poster.  Yours looks a little bigger.

Love those cats Kathy -- are they from your collection or some that you found to sell? Judy

Shirley, I have that exact same poster as in your display.

Yes, Judy, a swap meet is just like a flea market.  People bring what they want to sell into one large area.  Our area is the Fair Grounds parking lot.  Vendors pay to sell and shoppers pay $1. to get in to shop.  It's not huge on Tuesday's but there is probably 100 sellers from Junk to produce.

I sold a set a shawnee cats last week, but ceramic and glass just move really slow at this time.  But I like to keep as much as I can in the booth.  And of course everything in the booth I like myself so if it doesn't sell, I bring it home.  Except for a few things, I do take to the animal thrift shop.

We don't have swap meets where I live -- what is a swap meet? Is it like a flea market, sort of? That is a way cute kitty. Is your Lefton selling -- seems like there is a lot of it in the antique mall where I am. I got a Royal Doulton cat of similar size at an estate sale for a good price. It is more serious, though, not nearly as cute (and not sold yet either)!
