Donna, how much are you asking on eBay.  Can you give me a link? I'd like to bid on it...Tom

Donna, I think your bowl is Native SW American, probably Navajo, Hopi, Zuni, Pueblo, Zia, etc.

I also think it's terra cotta, not redware.  Redware is mostly from Ohio and Eastern USA.

IF (big If) it is NA, value could be $250. or higher.  Even modern NA pottery is worth 3 figures.

If you google those tribes shown above, plus terra cotta bowl, and click on Images, you will see many that look similar. Good hunting!

Great buy for 10 Cents!  Love it.

Vicki, thanks for all the info.  I bet my bowl was .60 cents.  I just listed it on Ebay - so we'll see how it does.   Mine does have a cheap primative look to it.

Comment by vicki hufstetler on June 3, 2014 at 6:48pm

Donna, I wonder what the 60 represents? .60 cents or &60 bucks - LOL

I looked up Navajo/SouthWestern terra cotta, and I don't think that's what you have.

The very old, valuable stuff looks more like this: http://www.thehornsaloon.com/uploads/9/9/2/3/9923237/5229026_orig.jpg

The more modern pieces are very colorful and detailed, like this one: http://i.tfcdn.com/img2/-Vto6XoADcVLDoIwEABQ4srLTBurUvAyZAJDKfQzaSeYHs1reQJ9m3f5fK_dGvKbSp0wLZPzq9RuE-GX1sSq-ejUnKPGpttWBQbT989htNbcb1YnPHHPgJGKnzGBT4v_x1mESoMTK8EIRz4yUwge2IwPMGpn9wM*/fvUG-v8A.B

So, I'm thinking more along the lines of Mexico.  Their designs are less complex, less fussy, more similar to yours. Here is one:

And another: http://img0.etsystatic.com/000/0/5594224/il_340x270.328864750.jpg

But, I'm afraid that's the best I can come up with. I hope someone will chime in with more info for ya!
