If you're interested you can contact the Secretary of State's office, Corporate records, in Albany, NY.  The info is free and available by phone or on-line.

ALL corps, partnerships and individual proprietorships are "of record" including defunct and foreign (out of state) corps.

It is most probably a merchant's coin bag. The bank printed currency, but did not mint coins. There is a lot of their currency out there but your bag is probably very hard to find. I used the same link as AR8Jason. Nice find!

This looks like an older item, but I can't find any info on this bank to see when it was in business (it certainly isn't now). It's made of canvas with shoestring-like drawstrings and is 8 inches long. Can any Internet wizards find out when this bank was in extant?
