I thought I would make this document link available to everyone here.  Basically, this is a document which gives a quick history of Ancient Chinese Seal Script followed by a list of Seal Script characters and their corresponding modern day character(s).  Once you have identified the modern day character, translation into other languages becomes simpler.  While Google Translate, for instance, can be helpful, do not always trust that it will return an accurate translation.  Some languages like Chinese have multiple possible meanings for the same character, therefore at times the translation also requires context in order to translate accurately.  Also, some Chinese characters do not have a direct English translation, so have to translate either into much longer sentences, or must be translated with other accompanying characters and in context.

What makes you think it's Frost Workshops?  What is it that you are not telling us? Does it have a backside? Why no picture? What is the metal? stone? material?

This is the wrong place. You're in the Comment Wall. Read my post to Jim on Dec 23, just below. Insert your name instead of Jim.

Jim, scroll up to your Avatar. "+Add a Discussion" is just above the dark blue line.

Jim

Above my post here, at the bottom of the discussions box, you will see on your left Add A Discussion.

Click on that and it will allow you to write out some narrative about your piece like you did below.  Use the image icon (pic) to post the photo and then ADD.  This will allow more people to view it, comment on it, and help you get the information you seek.

For now, I think Vicki's response is the most in depth and positive one to pursue.  There is another page on this website that is simply called Sell My Antiques...you could try that.

Comment by Jim McDonagh on December 8, 2018 at 7:13am

I'm not sure how to get this on the "regular discussion page" I appreciate all the replies and would like more advice on how best to sell it.
