4 baskets

I've no idea what these were used for, my mom had her sewing stuff in them in the early 70's.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My husband and I have a house that was built in 1901 and I've been finding all kinds of valuable antiques. There are storage drawers built in an upstairs closet that were stuck shut. I pried them open and in one of them I found this. I have no idea what it is. It's some sort of metal, looks like gold, it looks like a symbol or crest, it's a few inches in length. Not symmetrical whatsoever, and it has a ton of intricate details including c scrolls, a shell on the bottom, possibly fluer de li, and other flower figures. It has a imperfect either cross or x imprint on the back in the middle, pretty small

Can anyone help identify bell shaped metal object? It was found  at a garage sale in NJ. It has no "clapper". Any clue what its purpose was?  there are numbers on the top.  I will get more pictures and post.  any thoughts or info greatly appreciated.
