I Antique Online

A Community For People Who Buy, Sell or Collect Antiques, Collectibles and Art

I picked this item up (using photos as a means of viewing it) and now that I have it in front of me, I question whether it has "age" to it, or was it something sold at Bed, Bath, & beyond.

It does appear to be put together with rivets, but I'm not expert.

Thank you in advance for your time and expertise.

Hard to imagine that someone would go to the trouble of reproducing it. Look at the bottom for wear.

REPRODUCTION? That's funny. There's thousands, maybe millions for sale. My link is same as yours without the wooden handle. It holds 8 qts and 2 half gal bottles. Ebay asking $19.99 + $28.00 Shpg.

Repros target valuable stuff. Your milk carrier isn't and never will be valuable. Those round-head rivets protect the bottom from damage, scuffing, rust, etc. Maybe that's why there's no damage (so said) to the bottom.  No pic taken of bottom...

Suggest you view "milk bottle carrier".  Click "Images" when it opens.

Drat ! I got too caught up in the look to think clearly and realize the name on the side of this isn't the name of a company.

Thanks Tom
