I came across this delightful Christmas item that clips to Christmas tree. Even the candles look old . Would greatly appreciate any info on age, origin, name ,possibly value. Got it from a old Victorian home near Lake Champlain.Essex NY. The candles fit in the little holders then there are clasps which goes on tree. Doesn’t seem to safe. That’s another reason I think it’s old. Thank you in advance. John

Thank you
Yes John, your correct! This are quite old and not safe, lol! The trees these were used on were normally small, table tops type trees, not the huge trees we have now. Trying to date these might be a challenge. They could be as old as 1880's or as modern as the 1930-50's range.
So, you'll need to do some more research to figure that out. Have you got any markings? USA stuff from that era usually are marked, so if yours's are blank, try German, (Specifically, because most of the very old Christmas things were made there) or other European makers.
Value wise, they are moderate, most range in the $30 to $70 price range depending on type, style and how many are included in a set.
Nice Find!
Thank you very much
