Has anyone seen a chair anything like this?  It has a folding mechanism that allows it to fold about halfway of what a normal folding chair would.  The arm rests are only about 6 inches long.  We looked pretty closely at the bottom and couldn't find any markings.  Just an odd looking chair all the way around.  Any info would be appreciated.  Thanks.

My 1st thought was a "Guest chair" on an alter. Fold up a bit so the preacher can strut. Google alter chairs.

This is the ONLY chair I have come across with the short upholstered arms.

The link below is the entire lot on ebay from the search I conducted earlier.

But I did find this one!  What a beauty.

Could have been from a church or a theater, or a large home or even what is called a "campaign chair" used by the military and others adventurer's on "safari" or any other trip that required portable furniture. :)

Truth is there were many of these made, by many different manufacturers, so unless you've got makers markings it might be tough to find out who made yours. The area you are in or where you found it might be a clue for you though. It's in very nice condition to, so likely wasn't used much.
