I purchased a grab bag of jewelry today and found this necklace. It is a unique and odd piece and I have nicknamed it the Pimple Necklace. Usually the hallmark name makes it easy to identify the maker like Coventry, Trifari, Monet etc. This piece has a hallmark symbol with a jewel. I would appreciate any help with who makes it or if someone has antique-modern website(s) resource I will gladly look for it myself. Just not sure where to start.

That's not a Hallmark, but rather a Monogram or more technically the surname of the manufacturer, LOLA. Couldn't find their address but note that J C Penney sells their jewelry plus other retailers. There is a Lola Jewelry Design Co., in Dallas, TX.

Their jewelry is mostly paste. That should get you started in researching your rope necklace.

Thanks Tom

That style of chain link is referred to as a Snake Chain.

Thanks Michael, that will help a bunch

I was years ago handed this Sterling Silver necklace by a very nice young woman employee of a thrift store that I used to visit on a regular basis.  I had my magnifier in hand and instantly saw the tag with "Hecho en Mexico, Taxco", the Mexican Eagle (Sterling Silver mark) and "925."  I believe that this weighs about 1,470 grams and has 21 hanging pendants; I believe this might have been made by one of the American silversmiths who moved to Mexico in the 1960's.  It was in mint condition and I lightly polished it one time with Metalglo paste.  I've never considered selling this as it's one of my best "finds" and was priced at a very high amount of $4.25.  I'd posted this photo online before but some members might not have seen this.

Very nice looking piece. Melt value puts it at $723.52 if it weighs 1470 grams.

Hi David

So far, this is the closest emblem I can see to the tag you have.

Ahh that does make sense. Now I see the J and L. Sometimes I see the whole symbol. I did find a few necklaces for sale with the same hallmark. Now to track down my necklace. Thanks for the help!
