How does one tell whether a newspaper is an original or a reprint ?

That’s an original. Very few newspapers have been reprinted. Even very old/historically important newspaper carry very little value. Also, the reason they were/are called “rags” is because material, usually cotton is part of the paper making. I can see it’s thick, and the color is right too.

Vicki,

Thank you for your input.

And a little additional reading to support Vicki's conclusion...

Thanks for the info !

Not worth much. I have a small collection, worth $5.-$20. each. Titles:  JFK Ass'n, Robt K Ass'n, Nixon Resigns, Man on Moon, Evel Knievel (day of jump, and day after failed jump) both Twin Falls Times-News.

With the current job situation, I'll take the $5-$20 that some history buff might want to spend on this.

Once again, thank you for the info !
