No maker marks, The main body is 45 inches.

You called it a "wooden bar clamp" which is EXACTLY correct, which means you know what it is. Some similar ones were home-made and can be purchased today for $20.56 according to their ad.

Yours is missing a piece that attaches to the round, threaded part. Without it the round end would dent the piece being held.
