Info on old painting framed on canvas

my stepmother born 1920 in Cuba  got this from a  a friend. It is very old. Looks like back of  it was painted but I can see canvas edges.

I always thought it was painted on metal, but I see the edge of white canvas on borders on back. my stepmother passed in 2020 prior to 100

Can you find any dates or signatures on it?

We too have several art pieces we've acquired at estate sales and have no idea of the value> It would be good to find a reliable source for identifying and pricing collectible art.

wow.  it is cute, and the paint stands out on dog and hat. my step mom was famous cuban singer on stage, copa etc.
