I Antique Online

A Community For People Who Buy, Sell or Collect Antiques, Collectibles and Art

hello, this was found face down in the back floor board of a used van we bought for parts. as far as i can tell, and i have searched this over and over again, the only identifying mark is the 1685 on the front. it is extremely heavy! i mean it takes literally 3 to 4 grown men to move it. i am told it is similar to the Arms of Luxembourg,  but the city of Luxembourg did not exist until after 1685? sooo please if anyone can enlighten me on any info they may know i will be extremely grateful! also id love to know what this is worth? thank you all! and stay safe!

You know it's a "fireback". You've received several replies from the other website. Value unknown.

It seems English to me
