I found this lamp in the trash today. It definitely looks like its from the 50s or 60s. I think it's teak and ceramic, but I can't find any company markings on it. The plug has the GE symbol on it and the socket is a Levitron. I don't know if it works or not. I don't have  a light bulb for it. There was also a lamp shade for it, but it was too far back in the dumpster and I couldn't reach it. I was hoping someone could give me some more information on it.

Definitely Mid Century Modern...I have seen some say Atomic or Danish Style, but the shape, the chalkware and, many times, the teak base are all a sign of the times.  Many can not be attributed to a maker, I have seen.  Either way, too bad you could not reach the shade.  They were pretty unique around this time.  Nice find.
