I just got this a oak desk and it has various numbers marking parts (drawer and slat where the drawer slides in both marked 103) the bottom part is marked 2380). The insignia on the label looks like a steam engine coming right at you with CM co or MC co. I thought Michigan cha R company but it doesn’t match any of their labels posted online

What about the other states that begin with M?  Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, Mississippi, Minnesota, Montana.

I think your item is called a Library Table-Writing Desk. Lot more samples come up.  One from the Jose Ferrer estate asking over $2,000 (incl shipping). Made around 1900-1930s.  Avg value is around $250. u-haul.

Hey Tom,

I tried that and it really seemed like a NE piece to me. I caved and bought one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Crafts-Shopmarks-1895-1940-Bruce-Johnson/dp/...

and there it is! Miller Cabinet Co. Rochester NY.

thanks,
