Found this Haywood Brothers-Wakefield Co. Chair. It has a label on the bottom with this company name out of Chicago, Il. USA. I have not been able to find out an age with this label. Anyone have any idea of how old this chair is, and/or a value? I assume it had a different seat originally, maybe rattan(?) Should I leave it as is? image.jpeg

Heywood (not  Haywood) is known simply as Heywood-Wakefield furniture. I cannot find your chair. It looks like the last one of a 4 or 6 chair dining room set, also missing the table. Singles are not very valuable.  Yours has seen better days.

You mentioned the label but no picture showed it.

This is the label. Thought I had uploaded that pic. Yes, sorry, misspelled it. I could not find a pic of this label. So, it won't hurt for me to refinish it then?
