Would anyone know anything about this painting or artist? The watercolor is signed Miller. It is 8" x 10" and on the back it says "First Painting c 1937". I can find nothing on this, especially without a first name.

In the entire World "Miller" is the 22nd most common name; in the USA it's the 7th most common name.

Without a first name, city, country, painting name, finding your artist is improbable.  "First painting C 1937" was most likely written by an heir after Miller's passing. If you know who wrote that they might be able to tell you. The canal scene is probably Western European, maybe Italy too.

I know it's nearly impossible to find out who painted it but I thought maybe someone might recognize the style, etc. My son-in-law's name is Miller...and he's a wonderful artist...but no relation. Coincidence. Thanks anyway.
