In other words you bought this without knowing what it is? How much did you pay for it? What did the previous owner tell you? Why did you buy it? Collect them? Re-Sell for profit?

Your ribbon answers ALL your questions.  who, what, when, where,why and how... With all that info you can do your own research.  Start by Googling, M.P.O.R.M.

Strange group of fellows....quite the history.  They speak of the use of "ribbon badges" but they are seemingly just membership based.  I read my information on Wikipedia.


I often buy things without knowing the full history and I bought this for (I believe) $5 on a local  (online nowadays) auction site.

I buy/sell for fun/profit !

I say No Worries!  You are in good company.  Sometimes, that is exactly why I would buy something...so I can take it home and learn about it and figure out what it is! 

I call it curiosity and learning.
