can you tell us more about these ? size etc

I got an answer from another post (there is a photo attached in the first reply - I'm new to this and the first post did not include the attachment)

Anyway - it looks like they are antique magnifying glasses with the glass removed and the metal that holds the glass opened up a bit. I've looked at some photos of antique magnifying glasses online and there are many that look very similar, but with the glass in them. I've attached the original photo to this post as well as a couple of photos from on line of intact magnifying glasses.  So I am going to mark this solved.
