Hi Jay, Can you take some better pics of this please? It's way to dark, and I don't think I can see this as a whole. How tall is it? How wide?

Is there a hole in the top for a lamp? It may just be a pottery statue. From what little I can see, it appears to be more of a hobbyist ceramics piece someone made in a ceramic class, or shop.

I also can't make out what the figure is holding?

Hi Jay, without questioning you or this piece, are you certain that it is a lamp base and not a stand-alone figurine? I cannot see any lamp-fittings on the piece from your photos. Its approximate height/size would also help please.

looks like a chip at the bottom

Measurements are 19 1/2 inches tall
8 inches wide
I'm thinking table lamp due to the hole
in the back near the mid section and
another hole to come out down by t
the rim base that looks filled
