Help! Anyone out there know how I can find out what kind of bone these necklaces are??? The  shorter two strand has shell and silver stations, the longer one has bone. Very much want to know what they are made of?

That is way beyond my capability to tell you what kind of bone it is. Bone beads have been made for millenniums world wide of all sorts of mammals, birds and fish. Here are some links that sell, make and know of bone beads. Maybe you can determine what it is.  If not take it to a scientific company that can analyze it for you.  Possibly a local university can do it.

Thank You tomsantiquesetcetera, I will try your suggestions!

i wonder what makes you think they are bone please ?

Well, I am certainly no expert, but I have some ivory pieces, I do not see the grain that Ivory has, the texture is not right either, I took them to a local gemstore and was told that they are bone. She was unable to tell me anymore about the pieces except that piece that I thought was horn may be wood?
