To pick up sugar cubes?

I think Christine is probably correct in that it is for sugar cubes, ice cubes, or whatever cubes...but, what else is it about this item that you would like information on?

any idea on age value

They're called "sugar tongs". Sugar has not always been granulated, white and pure. Way back...it was brown and came in large chunks. Tongs were used to pick up pieces.

Those Hallmarks will identify  who made them, when (age), where (city, country), what (metal).  The fleur d'lis mark indicates France but not always.

If I owned them I would polish them. They could be sterling silver or EPNS (electro-plate nickel silver). Usually EPNS is marked (yours isn't) and doesn't have Hallmarks (yours does).

Once you've identified it then you can determine value.

The fleur d'lis is the emblem for Verdun, in the jurisdiction of Metz, from 1630-to-today in France. You can research the other marks in www.925-1000.com.  The marks, in order shown are WN, C in a circle, fleur d'lis in a circle, turtle? in an octagon, a crown in a circle.
