I tried two different avenues to contact Christine Lurk (Facebook, and Pinterest). Both were not successful.
I would contact whoever runs the air show for her contact info...Use Google or Yahoo search engines.
Good idea Tom !
Email sent !
I reached out to Christine and she was nice enough to respond.
Yes, this is a WW2 V is for Victory pin.
This pin is same as yours, except back reads "corp" so it states as pic of back shows a longer word. It is by WORTHPOINT which shields Value. Notice the in-turned paw; somebody mentioned that elsewhere.
I'm going to do a test subscription for Worthpoint. Please send the link.
In Molly's link is a pic of the back and the word that WorthPoint says is "Corp" but I can plainly see it's much longer. Looks like, CORRNS194?
Left click on pic (it opens)
Cursor on pic, left click (magnifies) becomes legible. WP says it reads 1945.
CORRNS is an ore consisting of copper and silver which is mined in So. Australia, Cuba, Chile, and Peru. This info was in a metallurgy book from 1859 so it might be out of date. A second notation showed Mexico exported xxx,xxx pounds of CORRNS in 1917.
I picked up this info from "pdf" research.
Sold price < $50. Disappointing
