Hi all discovered this painting in my grandfather's house attic after he passed, and am not sure where or when it is from, it looks really nice but as I said am not sure of age, could be present day painting not sure.

Anyone have any ideas?

Your painting gives me goose bumps.  Don't know why but looks like a funeral service to me.  Figure on left has top hat, empty, rose lined coffin (or bed), penguin (or person in tuxedo).

I like it because paintings are supposed to move people's spirits, and this sure moves mine.

Being an abstract you could have it upside down.  In green field upper left corner looks like a name, maybe.  Turn it right-side up and see.

Hi sorry I just read this post, I will turn it round and have a look, it is quite an intriguing peice.

I did think funeral or festival something like that, and I agree it does give off a strange aura, goosebumps is the right word.

I know nothing about art...well almost nothing. I did sell a painting once by a mid century middle eastern artist named Khalid al rahal. Your painting is very similar to his work.
