A unique straw stuffed silk covered pin cushion with a small hand stitched SILK 48 STAR American flag.  (The 48 star flag served America from 1912 -59). Sock Darners are a fun sewing collectible and handy to have around when you wear holes in those favorite pair of socks.  Here is one with a lovely turned wood handle and bearing a delightful red paint color - loaded with character from lots of use but still just as useful today as 100 years ago.  Currently for sale at the Vintage Touch ONLINE store at: Red Sock Darner
