What was this used for?

Hi

I bought this at a church shop because the coca cola caught my eye.  What is it and does it have any value?  By the way the suit case is not leather more of a vinyl pleather like material.

I Might be wrong (gasp!) but I believe this was a salesmens brief case when he would visit business's and pander the sample ad hardware (clocks, glasses, lamps, etc.)

 

OR an actual pander item given out ?

The second image makes me feel better with this one.
