About Dawn

Concept and title of group created by Dawn.

I have a passion for collecting which includes but not limited to: all kinds of pop culture items, salt & pepper shakers, old cookie jars, old shabby painted items, old advertising tin signs, vintage Black Americana, pottery bowls, retro kitchen items, old display cabinets, cricket benches, antique furniture, Adirondack items and the list goes on and on. I am a total addict!! Somebody help me!! I've been collecting about 15 years and don't have room for it all. I frequent yard sales, estate sales, flea markets and I do buy and sell on Ebay.

Call the states attorney general's office and find out what can be done.

That's not right.

match box or hot wheels have flooded the market with them at walmart for $.98 each
every thing goes though a collecting frenzy I just had a friend bought 9,000 of them new in the package for $700. and he is selling the collection off in pieces

Are Matchbox diecast vehicles a hot collectible? It seemed everyone was collecting them 20-30 years ago, now I see them in the "free" boxes at garage sales and even then, people won't take them. Here are some I picked up for free recently (a Camaro, a Mach 6 and a Hummer):

This all wooden "bunny band" opens up by scissors action. It is 4" long when closed and 8.5" long when fully extended. Stamped in black in in block letters on the bottom "MADE IN JAPAN". Any idea how old it might be?

Just picked up a really nice little Marx toy. It came with the box and is in nice shape. It is called the Wonder Cyclist. It is the earlier one with spoke wheels. I will try to post a pic tomorrow.

I would say that I have some knowledge on toys and colletables. If I can be of assistance, please let me know.
