Meet Your Moderator Bev Hamel Of Antiques in Bethania

I was born a paper junkie and this was my very first collection - my father had a shop in Lahaska Pa for many years offering paper collectibles - so the trait was inherited. This stuff literally oozes out of every space imaginable in my office area - I cant bear to part with it or sell it!

Hi-- For those calendar collectors, I have put 4 vintage ones under Photos that you can look at. Click on Calendar in the tag slot. If interested in buying, mail me at qualpaper@verizon.net anytime. I'll put more on shortly. Also, I have 100s of postcards and trade cards, magazines, ads, checks, cigar labels, and many other paper irems. Let me know what you want me to put on and I'll do so. I have beautiful Holiday postcards at reasonable prices. Stan

I love looking at or reading books, maps, etc. before any particular war would change the demographics of particular countries or regions. I have a book from 1801 titled" Geography of the World" in which the U.S hadn't been shackled to land deeds and territories. The "Northwest" area is what we know as Illinois and Iowa, with a huge chasm of area not mapped and the Louisiana Purchase referred to French owned land. You have an excellent find! Enjoy!

Here's something I just picked up a few days ago. It's a 5 x 7 Woolworth's Atlas published in 1916. I bought it for five bucks.

For those who enjoy a cup of tea.
I just bought a new book called "Tea Art: A Modern Look at Vintage Tea Graphics with Price Guide." It's by Gregory Suriano and is chalk full of info on tea advertising and other paper items. Great graphics. A fun read as you sip.

My thanks to "The Paper Trail" for the shared advise on how to clip, mount and display paper collectibles. Seems that once you get involved with this business each and every thing that you can do along the way improves to ones growth. Thanks

Joined this comment wall as a re-seller who knows nothing about "Vintage Paper Advertising, Memorabilia and Ephemera". I came across a stack of 1963- 1978 magazines. These had some neat ads in them and thought that I could sell them either online or at my antique booth. The information that I seek is how to remove them and what presentation is best? What part of the magazine needs to remain with the ad for "collectors" and "buyers" to take notice of them? Or are we talking about just full page ads and not the smaller ad 1/4 1/2 page ?
How do you go about pricing and condition grades? Do you have a link to a grading scale such as might be found on grading old books?
Thank You for the much needed help. James T.Brookins

Looks like sometime to do with the Hotel Cheverny in Paris. An advertisement of some sort.

See ya, Country Joe

Wow,.. $13,250! That's what my property taxes are goin' be pretty soon! Even if I saw a house for that price, I think I would be a l-i-t-t-l-e weary buying it ( it would be like "The Money Pit")

Thought this was pretty neat.
